The synthetic Bolsonaro appeared in a video at the launch of Senator Fl\u00e1vio Bolsonaro\u2019s presidential campaign in S\u00e3o Paulo. It openly identified itself as AI-generated before endorsing Fl\u00e1vio as the person chosen to carry forward his father\u2019s political movement. Fl\u00e1vio is running against incumbent President Luiz In\u00e1cio Lula da Silva in Brazil\u2019s October election.<\/p>\n
The avatar even declared that prison could not silence the movement Bolsonaro had created. This message has now sparked a legal challenge over whether AI can act as a political surrogate for someone prohibited from addressing voters.<\/p>\n
