Based in Bengaluru, the company has carved out a niche by managing a robust battery-swapping infrastructure tailored for electric two- and three-wheelers. Since its inception as a spin-off from the mobility pioneer Yulu in early 2023, Yuma has demonstrated impressive operational maturity. The company has successfully facilitated over 60 million battery swaps and currently maintains a fleet of approximately 100,000 active batteries circulating throughout its network.<\/p>\n
Demonstrating its confidence in the venture, Magna International is injecting an additional $35 million into Yuma Energy. According to Yuma\u2019s managing director, Muthu Subramanian, this capital infusion will increase Magna\u2019s majority stake in the joint venture, which originally stood at 51%.
