Seattle-based VR specialist Polyarc has folded after over a decade. The company was best known for developing the Moss franchise, which began life a a VR series before eventually being reimagined for more traditional platforms.<\/p>\n
The studio confirmed its closure in a brief post on LinkedIn. It’s unclear how many people have lost their jobs as a result of the shutdown\u2014although a reverse recruiting tracker shared by the studio indicates that almost 30 people have been let go.<\/p>\n
That might, however, include some of the people laid off earlier this year\u2014with Polyarc choosing to significantly downsize in March 2026 after due to financing challenges.<\/p>\n
“Today is the end of an era for Polyarc. After nearly 12 years riding the joyous rollercoaster of emotions that is making video games, our time together has come to an end. As we wind down active development, we are saying our farewells to each other,” reads the post.<\/p>\n
