## Celebrating Three Decades of Boards of Canada’s ‘Hi Scores’

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of their seminal EP *Hi Scores*, the electronic music pioneers Boards of Canada are treating fans to a special vinyl reissue. This release serves as a nostalgic bridge to the duo’s formative years, offering both long-time collectors and new listeners a chance to own a piece of IDM history.

### A Collector’s Edition Reimagined

The upcoming reissue is far more than a simple repress. Housed in a premium gatefold sleeve, the package includes four high-quality 12” x 12” art prints. Fans can choose from standard black vinyl, a limited-edition “Coke Bottle Green” variant, or a CD format. To further mark the occasion, exclusive apparel-including two distinct t-shirt designs-is available for purchase either as standalone items or bundled with the music. These items are being sold exclusively through Bleep.com.

### The Legacy of a Foundational EP

Originally launched via Andy Maddocks’ Skam Records in Manchester, *Hi Scores* was a pivotal moment for the Scottish duo. Following the underground success of 1995’s *Twoism*, this six-track collection solidified their signature sound, featuring iconic early compositions such as “Everything You Do Is A Balloon” and “Turquoise Hexagon Sun.”

The significance of this reissue cannot be overstated; it marks the first time in a decade that the entirety of the Boards of Canada discography has been accessible on vinyl, filling a gap that has existed since the last pressing in 2014.

### Release Details and Recent Activity

Warp Records is set to handle the official release on November 20th. Enthusiasts looking to secure their copy can place pre-orders here.

This anniversary celebration arrives during a particularly active period for the reclusive pair. It follows the May release of ‘Inferno’, which ended a 13-year hiatus for the duo. Furthermore, the cultural impact of their work continues to be documented, with *Disco Pogo* recently announcing a dedicated Boards of Canada tribute book, highlighting their enduring influence on the electronic landscape.
