Attention, Marvel Cinematic Universe enthusiasts: the highly anticipated Avengers: Endgame – Encore has officially hit the big screen. This isn’t just a standard theatrical return; it serves as a pivotal moment for the franchise, offering exclusive, never-before-seen footage tailored for IMAX and Infinity Vision formats.

Recent reports have verified that the leaked footage circulating online is authentic. The extended cut features a poignant, revised conclusion involving a meeting between Loki, Steve Rogers, and Peggy Carter, alongside post-credits sequences that bridge the gap to Avengers: Doomsday. Most intriguingly, the footage depicts Doctor Doom abducting Bruce Banner, sparking intense speculation: is the iconic villain assembling his own roster of heroes?

To understand the potential trajectory of the MCU, we must examine the implications of these new scenes alongside established comic book lore. If Doom is indeed recruiting, it suggests a radical departure from his traditional solitary villainy. Much like a grandmaster positioning pieces on a chessboard, Doom’s abduction of Banner-a character defined by his intellect and raw power-hints at a calculated effort to weaponize the Avengers’ own assets against them.

The additional content in *Encore* strongly suggests that the Russo Brothers are drawing heavy inspiration from Jonathan Hickman’s acclaimed *New Avengers* run. While the industry has long anticipated the adaptation of *Secret Wars*, the narrative threads introduced here point toward the “Time Runs Out” storyline as a primary influence.

In the comics, the collapse of the multiverse forces unlikely alliances and desperate measures. By integrating these themes, Marvel appears to be setting the stage for a conflict where the lines between hero and antagonist are blurred, forcing characters to confront the reality that their greatest threat might be a mirror image of their own ideals. As we look toward the future of the franchise, it is clear that the stakes have never been higher, and the path to *Doomsday* is paved with complex, multiversal consequences.

Analyzing Doom’s Strategic Moves
