Saban Films has officially dropped the trailer for The Holiday Hitman, a British-produced action comedy directed by Bradley Stryker. Scheduled for a VOD release in November, the film attempts to capitalize on the “Christmas action” subgenre, though early footage suggests it lacks the creative spark of its predecessors.

Derivative Action Meets Holiday Tropes

The premise follows Hank Carter, portrayed by Nick Sagar, a professional assassin attempting to reconcile with his family during the holidays. Predictably, his plans for a peaceful Christmas are derailed when he becomes the target of a high-stakes bounty. The narrative structure feels heavily indebted to recent hits like Violent Night or the gritty choreography of Nobody, yet it lacks the polished execution that made those films stand out. In an era where streaming platforms are flooded with “content-first” productions-often seeing a 20-30% increase in low-budget genre releases during Q4-this film appears to be another entry designed for quick consumption rather than lasting impact.

Cast and Production Details

The film relies on a “home invasion” setup, with Carter forced to utilize festive ornaments and holiday decor as makeshift weaponry to survive waves of attackers. While the concept of using a candy cane or a string of lights as a lethal tool has been done before, the execution here feels uninspired. Joining Nick Sagar in the ensemble cast are:

Montana Manning

Gabriela Ochoa Perez

Ricky Norwood

Florence Hall

Eloise Lovell Anderson

Vas Blackwood

Mark Fleischmann

Despite the ensemble effort, the trailer fails to deliver the kinetic energy or comedic timing required to elevate such a familiar script. For viewers seeking a high-octane holiday thrill, this particular outing seems destined to be overshadowed by more ambitious seasonal offerings.

» More Info >>>

We cannot tell your mom about this.”

Saban Films has just dropped the official trailer for *The Holiday Hitman*, a British action-comedy from director Bradley Stryker.
