## Upcoming Xbox Game Pass Departures: What You Need to Play Before They Vanish

As we transition into a new month, the Xbox Game Pass library is undergoing its routine refresh. While subscribers eagerly anticipate the arrival of fresh titles, this update comes with a bittersweet reality: a significant wave of games is scheduled to exit the service. With nine titles confirmed to leave, now is the perfect time to clear your backlog and dive into these experiences before they are removed from the catalog.

### High-Profile Titles Exiting the Service

The most notable departure this month is undoubtedly *Clair Obscur: Expedition 33*. Having garnered critical acclaim as one of the standout releases of 2025, its removal is a major loss for the platform.

Horror enthusiasts are also facing a tough month. Despite October being the peak season for scares, the service is losing *The Casting of Frank Stone*, the narrative-driven spin-off set in the *Dead by Daylight* universe. Additionally, *A Plague Tale: Requiem*-a visually stunning and emotionally heavy masterpiece-is heading for the exit. If you haven’t yet experienced Amicia and Hugo’s harrowing journey, you have a very limited window to do so.

### Hidden Gems and Action Highlights

Beyond the heavy hitters, several other titles worth your attention are being cycled out. If you enjoy high-octane combat, *Evil West* offers a punchy, visceral experience that leans into its “weird west” aesthetic with satisfying monster-slaying mechanics.

For those who prefer something more atmospheric, *Pacific Drive* remains a unique standout. This supernatural roguelite driving game forces players to maintain their vehicle while navigating a surreal, hazardous version of the Olympic Exclusion Zone. Its blend of survival mechanics and unsettling mystery makes it a must-play for anyone who appreciates unconventional game design.

### Final Call for Subscribers

With the industry shifting toward shorter subscription windows for third-party titles, it is common to see games rotate out after 6 to 12 months. If any of these titles have been sitting in your “Play Later” queue, prioritize them this week. Once they leave the service, you will need to purchase them individually to continue your progress.
