Despite a turbulent post-launch period that left many long-time franchise veterans feeling alienated, the title is officially coming to Game Pass. Starting October 13th, subscribers on both PC and Ultimate tiers can jump into the action. To sweeten the deal, EA Play members-who are already covered under the Ultimate umbrella-will receive complimentary access to the Season 5 EA Play Pack and the Deployment Pack, providing a significant head start for returning or new soldiers.

A Broad Spectrum of New Titles

While the arrival of a major AAA shooter is grabbing headlines, the October catalog update offers a wide variety of genres for those who prefer experiences outside the military shooter sphere. The rollout begins on October 8th with a trio of distinct indie titles:

Echo Weaver: A fresh take on the Metroidvania genre.

Forever Ago: A narrative-driven adventure focused on storytelling.

Neon Abyss 2: A high-octane rogue-lite side-scroller, which will also be accessible to Premium tier members.

Mid-Month Additions and Highlights

The momentum continues throughout the month with several notable releases. On October 13th, alongside the Battlefield 6 launch, players can dive into Deep Dish Dungeon and the highly anticipated Valor Mortis. The latter, developed by One More Level, brings a challenging first-person Souls-like experience to the platform. The mid-month influx concludes on October 15th with the arrival of Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts, followed by the atmospheric Beyond These Stars on October 16th.

Industry analysts note that subscription services like Game Pass are increasingly vital for maintaining “live service” longevity. By integrating Battlefield 6 into the service, EA is likely aiming to replicate the success seen by other titles that experienced a massive surge in concurrent player counts after joining subscription libraries. While the library is packed with variety, the heavy hitters remain Battlefield 6 and the challenging combat of Valor Mortis, which are expected to dominate engagement metrics for the remainder of the month.

» More Info >>>

After a rocky road filled with more turbulence than triumphs, EA’s *Battlefield 2042* is finally hitting Game Pass.
