The gaming smartphone landscape is about to shift as the RedMagic 12 Pro+ prepares for its official China launch on October 15. With pre-orders already open, the manufacturer has pulled back the curtain on the device’s aesthetic identity and color palette, giving enthusiasts a clear look at what’s coming.

According to a recent announcement on Weibo, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ leans heavily into the brand’s iconic industrial aesthetic. The device retains the signature transparent chassis that has become a hallmark of the series, paired with a completely flat rear panel. Beyond the visual flair, the design integrates advanced RGB liquid cooling, a critical feature for maintaining peak performance during intensive gaming sessions-a necessity given that mobile gaming revenue is projected to reach over $100 billion globally this year.

The device will be available in three distinct finishes: Transparent Dark Night, Transparent Ice Blue, and Transparent Silver Wing. These options emphasize the internal hardware components, creating a “tech-first” look that differentiates it from standard flagship smartphones.

One of the most notable design shifts is the rear camera housing. Unlike previous iterations that featured a protruding bump, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ adopts a flush camera module, resulting in a sleek, snag-free profile. The device utilizes a dual-camera configuration, prioritizing essential optics over unnecessary sensors.

On the front, the device maintains a minimalist approach with a flat display framed by ultra-thin bezels. To ensure an uninterrupted viewing experience, the front-facing camera is hidden beneath the display, a feature that has become a staple for RedMagic’s flagship lineup. This design choice is particularly effective for competitive gamers who require maximum screen real estate without the distraction of a punch-hole or notch.

Under the hood, the RedMagic 12 Pro+ is set to be a powerhouse. It will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, positioning it at the cutting edge of mobile processing power. Despite the high-end internals, the company has previously confirmed that this model will be both thinner and lighter than its predecessor, addressing common user feedback regarding the bulkiness of previous gaming phones.

Aesthetic Evolution and Cooling Innovation
