With the “Daredevil: Born Again” saga approaching its conclusion, the Marvel Cinematic Universe is already pivoting toward its next high-stakes project. During the 2026 New York Comic Con, Marvel Television head Brad Winderbaum pulled back the curtain on a brand-new live-action spy thriller titled “Zodiac.”

The production timeline is aggressive, with cameras expected to roll in London by next spring. While the studio is keeping the plot under wraps, casting calls are slated to commence imminently, aiming for a global premiere in 2028. This project signals a shift toward the grounded, tactical storytelling that defined classic espionage cinema, moving away from the cosmic scale of recent phases.

While official plot synopses remain scarce, Winderbaum dropped a breadcrumb for dedicated fans, noting that the series’ branding contains significant narrative hints. By centering a series around this group, Marvel is positioning “Zodiac” as a potential successor to the tone of “Captain America: The Winter Soldier,” focusing on institutional corruption and the blurred lines between heroes and villains. As the industry continues to see a surge in demand for “prestige” genre television, this spy-centric approach could be the key to maintaining Marvel’s dominance in the streaming landscape.

Decoding the Logo: Hidden Secrets and Comic Origins
