## Medieval Mayhem on Modern Streets: Lime Issues Warning After Viral Jousting Stunt

The streets of London recently became the stage for an unconventional spectacle that blended historical reenactment with modern urban mobility. A viral trend involving Lime e-bikes has prompted the company to issue a firm reminder regarding the intended use of their fleet.

### The Rise of the “E-Knight”

The bizarre incident unfolded at London Fields, where a massive crowd assembled to witness a high-stakes duel. The participants, identified as artist Jack Carden and actor Camtholomew the First, traded traditional steeds for the company’s signature green electric bicycles.

Dressed in authentic-looking chain mail, heavy helmets, and flowing cloaks, the pair charged at one another while wielding long, striped lances. The atmosphere was electric, with spectators rhythmically chanting for the clash to commence. The stunt reached its climax when one of the riders was successfully unseated following a direct hit, a moment that has since captivated the internet.

### Viral Fame vs. Public Safety

The footage, which originated on Mr. Carden’s Instagram profile, has exploded in popularity, racking up over four million views. While the spectacle provided a moment of levity for onlookers, it has raised significant concerns regarding public safety and the misuse of shared micro-mobility infrastructure.

To put the scale of such viral stunts into perspective, social media trends involving public property often lead to increased scrutiny from local authorities. Similar to how “urban exploration” or “parkour” challenges can result in property damage or personal injury, the use of heavy e-bikes for combat poses a clear risk to both the riders and the surrounding public.

### Lime’s Official Stance

In response to the viral clips, a representative for Lime addressed the situation with a mix of diplomatic appreciation for community spirit and a stern warning against dangerous behavior.

“While we admire the creativity and the medieval enthusiasm displayed by Londoners, safety remains our absolute priority,” the spokesperson stated. “Lime bikes are engineered specifically for efficient urban commuting, not for competitive jousting. We strongly advise against any further attempts to replicate this activity.”

As e-bike usage continues to surge-with recent data suggesting that shared micro-mobility services now facilitate millions of trips annually across major global cities-companies are increasingly forced to balance user freedom with strict safety protocols to prevent such reckless misuse.
