Rather than selecting from a menu of pre-written responses, you are encouraged to speak naturally. Whether you choose to plead for mercy, attempt to bribe the guards, or weave an elaborate tale of innocence, the game’s AI engine processes your input and generates reactive responses from the surrounding villagers.

Developed by Arvore-the creative force behind acclaimed VR titles like Yuki and the Pixel Ripped series-Fabula Rasa is designed to push the boundaries of immersion. The core gameplay loop revolves around interacting with a cast of nine distinct townsfolk. Each character possesses their own personality, biases, and motivations, meaning your success depends entirely on your ability to read the room and tailor your rhetoric to the specific individual you are addressing.

This dynamic approach to narrative design mirrors the growing trend of “generative gaming,” where AI is used to create non-linear experiences. Much like how a Dungeon Master in a tabletop campaign adapts to a player’s unexpected choices, the NPCs in Fabula Rasa evolve based on the backstory you invent on the fly. If you claim to be a long-lost noble, the villagers will challenge your knowledge of the kingdom’s history accordingly.

The wait for this unique social experiment is nearly over. Arvore has officially confirmed that Fabula Rasa will launch on November 12, specifically optimized for the Meta Quest 3 and Quest 3S hardware.

The narrative tension builds as the clock ticks down to the arrival of the King, who serves as the final judge of your fate. Every conversation you have with the townsfolk serves as a building block for your defense, potentially swaying the public opinion before the royal verdict is delivered.
