ZeniMax Online Studios has significantly bolstered the base experience for The Elder Scrolls Online (ESO) by integrating the expansive Greymoor chapter and the Wolfhunter DLC directly into the core game. This strategic move ensures that all players, regardless of their previous purchase history, can now explore the frozen landscapes of Western Skyrim and tackle challenging group content without needing to open their wallets for additional expansions.

New Adventures in Western Skyrim and Beyond

The inclusion of Greymoor is a massive boon for the community. Players can now dive into the main narrative arc of the region, uncover the secrets of the Antiquities system-which allows for the excavation of rare artifacts across Tamriel-and test their mettle in the Kyne’s Aegis twelve-player trial. By folding these high-tier activities into the base game, the developers are effectively lowering the barrier to entry for endgame content, which is a welcome change for both returning veterans and newcomers alike.

Beyond the open-world additions, the Wolfhunter content has been revitalized to cater to a wider audience. A standout feature of this update is the introduction of solo-friendly versions of the Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices dungeons. Previously, these encounters required a coordinated group of four, often acting as a gatekeeper for solo players interested in the lore. By offering these solo variants, ZeniMax is acknowledging the growing segment of the player base that prefers a self-paced, solitary exploration of the game’s intricate dungeon narratives.

Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim
