The producer and DJ known as Speak is currently navigating a prolific phase in his career, seamlessly juggling a steady stream of fresh releases with the development of Unbooked-a pioneering platform built to bridge the gap between talent and event organizers. Hot on the heels of his successful partnership with Romanian vocalist Florin Ristei on the track “As Late As Possible,” Speak has dropped his latest single, “Talk Too Much,” signaling a broader ambition to reshape both his sound and the music business landscape.

For Speak, the creative process extends far beyond the final master of a song. He views his work as a laboratory for innovation, constantly seeking fresh methods to engage listeners and refine his artistic identity. His recent synergy with Florin Ristei serves as a perfect case study for this philosophy; the track blends poignant, relatable themes with high-fidelity production, all while maintaining the playful, witty rapport that has become a hallmark of their professional partnership.

In a recent deep dive with EDMNOMAD, the duo unpacked the core message behind their collaboration, “As Late As Possible.” Rather than a somber reflection on mortality, the song serves as a high-energy anthem for vitality.

* The Core Concept: Speak describes the track as a defiant celebration of life. “The fundamental spark was the simple realization that we want to stick around,” he explains. “The goal is to live as long as possible while maintaining a youthful spirit.” The music industry is currently seeing a shift toward artist-led platforms, with recent data suggesting that independent creators are increasingly seeking tools to manage their own bookings and logistics. By launching Unbooked, Speak is positioning himself at the forefront of this trend, moving from a purely creative role to one of an industry architect.

As he continues to balance the release of tracks like “Talk Too Much” with the scaling of his new platform, Speak is proving that modern success in the electronic music scene requires a dual focus: the ability to craft infectious melodies and the vision to build the infrastructure that supports the next generation of performers.

* The Call to Action: Florin Ristei adds that the song acts as a wake-up call for listeners. It challenges the common tendency to defer happiness, urging people to prioritize self-fulfillment and genuine enjoyment in the present rather than waiting for a “perfect” future that may never arrive.

Industry Impact and Future Ambitions
