As Manchester’s legendary Warehouse Project (WHP) marks its 20th anniversary, the iconic event series is breaking free from the confines of its Depot Mayfield home. In a major move to expand its reach, the organization has partnered with Apple Music to broadcast two landmark nights of its anniversary season globally. Through the Club Live platform, fans across the globe can tune in to these high-energy performances at no cost, with no subscription barrier in place.

The celebration is split into two distinct streaming events designed to showcase the diversity of the UK’s electronic music scene:

* October 30: The inaugural broadcast kicks off with high-octane energy, featuring collaborative back-to-back sets from electronic duo Overmono and drum and bass titan Andy C. These performances will be hosted on Apple Music Club Radio. For those who miss the live experience or wish to relive the atmosphere, select sets will be archived and made available on-demand in immersive Spatial Audio for Apple Music subscribers.

Since its inception, The Warehouse Project has cemented itself as a cornerstone of British nightlife. By repurposing derelict industrial sites-ranging from abandoned air-raid shelters to former railway stations-into world-class dance venues, the brand has redefined the clubbing experience.

The current venue, Depot Mayfield, serves as the perfect backdrop for this legacy. It has become a pilgrimage site for dance music enthusiasts, hosting marathon events that often push well beyond standard club hours. This commitment to long-form, immersive DJ sets has helped the brand maintain its relevance in an era where shorter, festival-style slots are becoming the norm.

The anniversary lineup is a testament to the brand’s evolution. By balancing the raw, breakbeat-heavy energy of artists like Overmono with the seasoned, global appeal of legends like Carl Cox, the Warehouse Project continues to bridge the gap between underground roots and mainstream electronic dominance. As the industry shifts toward hybrid models-where physical events are increasingly augmented by high-fidelity digital streams-WHP’s collaboration with Apple Music ensures that their 20th-year milestone is accessible to a worldwide audience, not just those lucky enough to secure a ticket in Manchester.

* December 19: The second installment brings a heavy-hitting lineup to the digital stage, headlined by house and techno pioneer Carl Cox, alongside the eclectic sounds of 2manydjs and the rising talent of Chloé Caillet.

Two Decades of Industrial Innovation
