That would make it one of the world\u2019s most valuable companies, not long after raising $122 billion from investors in March at a valuation of $852 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Echoing <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ft.com\/content\/7a3ad950-1b3b-4d9e-8c15-65a61ae6180f?syn-25a6b1a6=1\">FT<\/a><\/em> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/tech\/ai\/openai-raises-less-than-half-of-30-billion-target-in-latest-round-91aecdc5\"><em>Wall Street Journal<\/em><\/a> reports from last week, <em>Bloomberg<\/em> says OpenAI is still pursuing additional investments that could increase the amount to $20 billion, and that it had initially hoped to raise as much as $30 billion at a higher valuation of $1.4 trillion. That was before tech stocks dropped, and the results of the midterms showed how much public opinion has turned <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/policy\/1026365\/data-centers-midterms-results\">against AI companies and data center projects<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>OpenAI\u2019s rival Anthropic <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theverge.com\/ai-artificial-intelligence\/1018476\/anthropic-ipo-details-s1-filed-sec\">filed its S-1 to go public<\/a> last week.
