# PROPER NYE/NYD Bolsters 2024/2025 Roster with Massive Phase Two Additions
San Diego’s premier electronic music celebration, PROPER NYE/NYD, is gearing up for its most ambitious iteration yet. Since establishing its home at the iconic Petco Park in 2022, the festival has cemented itself as the definitive way to ring in the New Year on the West Coast. Organizers FNGRS CRSSD have officially pulled back the curtain on their second wave of talent, ensuring the two-day marathon on December 31 and January 1 remains a top-tier destination for dance music enthusiasts.
## A Diverse Sonic Expansion for the New Year
The latest artist announcement brings a significant injection of energy to the festival’s already stacked bill. By diversifying the soundscape, the organizers have catered to a wide spectrum of electronic sub-genres.
The house music contingent receives a major boost with the inclusion of global heavyweights like FISHER and Dombresky, alongside the high-octane sounds of Ship Wrek and the rising talent of San Pacho. For those who prefer a more melodic or anthemic approach, the legendary Kaskade joins the fray, bringing a career-spanning catalog that has defined the genre for decades. Meanwhile, the techno-leaning segments of the event are further solidified by the addition of Novah, who brings a fresh, driving intensity to the stage.
## Unique Collaborations and B2B Highlights
Perhaps the most anticipated aspect of this year’s programming is the emphasis on collaborative sets. The standout addition for this phase is the Four Tet B2B Tiga performance. This pairing is particularly compelling, as it bridges the gap between Four Tet’s experimental, organic textures and Tiga’s iconic, electro-infused roots.
This dynamic duo joins an already impressive list of back-to-back sets, including the high-energy trio of Cloonee, KETTAMA, and Josh Baker. These collaborative performances are a hallmark of the modern festival experience, offering fans a one-of-a-kind set that cannot be replicated in a standard solo performance.
## Building on a Strong Foundation
The Phase Two reveal follows an already robust initial announcement that set a high bar for the event. By layering these new acts onto a foundation that already featured a wide array of underground and mainstream electronic talent, PROPER NYE/NYD is positioning itself to compete with major global festivals.
With the event taking place in the heart of downtown San Diego, the festival continues to leverage the unique atmosphere of Petco Park, transforming the baseball stadium into a sprawling, multi-stage dance floor. As the industry continues to see a surge in demand for immersive, multi-day holiday events, PROPER NYE/NYD remains at the forefront of the Southern California scene.
