### Prospa Cancels EDC Orlando Appearance to Focus on Health and Recovery
Attendees planning to catch the highly anticipated back-to-back performance at Tinker Field this coming month will need to adjust their schedules. The British electronic music pair, Prospa, officially confirmed their departure from the EDC Orlando 2026 lineup, where they were originally set to share the stage with Josh Baker.
#### Prioritizing Well-being Over the Stage
The Leeds-based artists utilized their Instagram Stories to communicate the news, explaining that they have opted to withdraw from the festival to focus on essential rest. After a grueling year defined by non-stop touring and a heavy release schedule, the duo emphasized that stepping back is a necessary measure to ensure their long-term health. Their collaborative set was originally slated for Friday, November 6th, the inaugural day of the three-day Florida event.
#### A Year of High-Intensity Output
The decision to pause comes on the heels of a remarkably productive 2026. The duo reached a major career milestone in June with the release of their debut studio album, *Free Your Mind*, through CircoLoco Records. They maintained this momentum in August by establishing their own record label, Prophecy.
However, this rapid pace has not been without its challenges. The physical demands of the industry became apparent earlier this summer when Harvey Blumler was forced to halt his live appearances. Blumler suffered from recurring ear infections and two perforated eardrums, requiring his partner, Gosha Smith, to manage their live commitments independently while Blumler underwent treatment.
#### Looking Toward the Future
In the competitive landscape of electronic music, where artists often face burnout, taking a hiatus is becoming a more common strategy for longevity. By stepping away as the festival circuit concludes, Prospa is positioning themselves to return to both the studio and the touring circuit with renewed energy. This period of downtime is a strategic move to ensure they can continue delivering the high-caliber performances their fans expect.
