Shopping Tips for the Best Deal
As of late October, this deal applies to brand-new units sold and fulfilled directly by Amazon. When navigating the product page, ensure you select the “990 PRO” 2TB option specifically. Note that this particular listing is for the standard version without a pre-installed heatsink. If your motherboard lacks an integrated M.2 shield, you may want to consider an aftermarket cooling solution to maintain optimal thermal performance during heavy usage.
For those interested in the granular technical details, you can review the full Samsung’s datasheet to see how the drive stacks up against industry benchmarks. With the current shift toward larger game file sizes-often exceeding 150GB for modern AAA titles-a 2TB drive has become the new “sweet spot” for enthusiasts looking to avoid constant file management.
