Two Phased launches new independent record label with ‘Light It Up’, the first release on Two Phased Records, as the producer discusses his musical journey, creative direction and ambitions for the future.
Two Phased has kicked off a new chapter with ‘Light It Up’, a driving house single that doubles as TPR001, the first release on his own independent imprint, Two Phased Records. Splitting his time between Germany and Dubai, the producer behind the project, Stephen, started out behind the decks at 16 and has since turned that love of reading a room into a sound built on powerful basslines, melodic hooks and clean modern production.
We caught up with him to talk about where it all began, what defines the Two Phased sound, and why he’s keeping the release schedule to roughly every six to eight weeks. He also tells us what’s coming next with ‘Watch Me Walk In’, which he thinks could become his biggest track yet, and which dream collaborators are on his list.
