Zombie Apocalypse Returns to Long Beach: 2027 Dates Officially Confirmed
Fresh off the heels of a successful 2026 installment, Insomniac has wasted no time in building momentum for the future. The organizers have officially locked in the return of Zombie Apocalypse, confirming that the bass-heavy festival will once again descend upon the Queen Mary Waterfront in Long Beach, CA. Fans should mark their calendars for Friday, June 18, and Saturday, June 19, 2027.
This rapid scheduling announcement underscores Insomniac’s commitment to establishing the event as a permanent staple of the Southern California summer festival circuit. Following the 2026 edition-which served as the festival’s inaugural transition into a two-day summer experience-the brand is clearly doubling down on the waterfront location as the home for this high-octane gathering.
A Look Back: The 2026 Experience
The 2026 iteration of Zombie Apocalypse set a high bar for production and curation, drawing massive crowds to the Long Beach harbor. The Apocalypse Arena served as the epicenter for heavy-hitting bass, featuring powerhouse performances from Space Laces, Zomboy, and Sullivan King. The energy reached a fever pitch during the closing sets, which included a high-voltage appearance by Skull Machine (the collaborative force of Black Tiger Sex Machine and Kai Wachi) and a legendary B2B set between dubstep titans Excision and Wooli. Meanwhile, the Zombieland Citadel stage offered a different flavor, highlighted by a gritty B2B set from Caspa and Peekaboo, followed by the chaotic energy of Borgore and the Bear Grillz + Bad News Bears showcase.
The second day proved equally impressive, with YDG debuting the official 2026 festival anthem at the Apocalypse Arena, setting the stage for a massive performance by Subtronics. For those seeking a change of pace, the Quarantine Zone stage became a sanctuary for drum & bass enthusiasts, hosting a stellar lineup that included Sota, Hybrid Minds, Goddard, Grafix B2B Subsonic, and Tantrum Desire. The festival also catered to the underground bass community, showcasing experimental sounds from artists like Fly, Taiki Nulight, Distinct Motive, Ivy Lab, and Truth.
