The Financial Framework of the Revitalization
Under the terms of the newly ratified deal, Global Spectrum is set to take the helm of operations for both the stadium and the adjacent Flex Park. The contract spans a 40-year duration, establishing a long-term partnership aimed at sustainable growth. To protect the public purse, Commissioner Pardo championed a provision ensuring that the financial burden of the renovation does not fall on local taxpayers. As part of this commitment, Global Spectrum has pledged to invest up to $10 million directly into the restoration efforts.
The city’s revenue model is designed to be highly lucrative, securing 93% of all gross event sales. Furthermore, the agreement stipulates that Miami will collect a consistent monthly management fee, supplemented by an 85% share of all sponsorship income generated by the venue.
