A Summer of Sonic Intensity at Eden
Every Tuesday, the Sant Antoni de Portmany venue has served as the epicenter for relentless, driving rhythms. Throughout this 15-date marathon, Galactica curated a lineup that reads like a “who’s who” of the modern hard techno movement. The residency showcased explosive performances from industry heavyweights such as 999999999, Angerfist, and Luca Agnelli, alongside rising talents like Cera Khin, Holy Priest, and Nikolina.
The impact of this residency has been substantial, drawing an estimated 20,000 attendees. This diverse crowd-comprising dedicated ravers from the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain-highlights the growing global appetite for the harder, faster side of electronic music. According to recent industry reports, the hard techno subgenre has seen a 30% surge in festival bookings over the last two years, a trend clearly reflected in the packed dancefloors at Eden this summer.
From Bologna Roots to Global Ambitions
The story of Galactica began in 2018, spearheaded by founder Antonio Mazzotta. Initially conceived as a massive New Year’s Eve celebration-a staple of Italy’s “Capodanno d’Italia” circuit-the brand quickly outgrew its humble beginnings. While its DNA remains firmly planted in the underground techno scene, the project was always designed with grand-scale production in mind.
Before conquering Ibiza, Galactica established its dominance through a prestigious residency at the legendary Cocoricò in Riccione. The brand has consistently pushed boundaries, hosting multi-day, bi-annual spectacles across major Italian hubs including Florence, Palermo, Rimini, Bergamo, and Padua. By bridging the gap between intimate underground aesthetics and arena-sized production-evidenced by past bookings of electronic pioneers like Kraftwerk-Galactica has successfully carved out a unique niche in the international festival landscape.
