Remedy Entertainment Unveils Post-Launch Roadmap for Control Resonant
Although Control Resonant has only been in the hands of players for 24 hours, Remedy Entertainment is wasting no time detailing the title’s upcoming content cycle. The studio has officially outlined a roadmap that promises to extend the game’s longevity through the end of the year, starting with a significant expansion to the replayability loop.
Infinite Replayability: The New Game++ Update
Arriving this October, the “New Game++” mode is designed to satisfy players who have already exhausted the standard New Game+ offerings. While the base game provided a traditional second-run experience, this new iteration removes the ceiling entirely. Remedy has explicitly encouraged players to push the limits, noting that fans are welcome to complete as many as 665 consecutive runs if they so desire.
While the studio has yet to clarify how enemy scaling or difficulty modifiers will evolve across these endless cycles, the core progression remains intact. Players will still be required to re-acquire traversal abilities throughout each run. However, the primary draw here is the freedom to experiment; this mode allows users to equip a diverse array of abilities from the same Resonant, enabling players to test unconventional synergies that might not have been viable in a single playthrough.
Capturing the Atmosphere: Photo Mode Arrives in November
Following the October update, Remedy will introduce a dedicated Photo Mode in November. The developer acknowledged that this feature has been in development for some time, emphasizing that they collaborated directly with professional virtual photographers from the community to ensure the toolset meets high artistic standards. The team noted that the delay in releasing this feature was a strategic choice, as they prioritized technical stability and overall game performance during the initial launch window.
Expanding Customization Options
Looking further ahead, the development team has confirmed that additional cosmetic items for Dylan are currently in the pipeline. While these aesthetic updates do not yet have a firm release date, they represent Remedy’s ongoing commitment to supporting the game’s visual variety long after the initial hype settles.
