1001 Recordings Unveils High-Energy Debut Compilation: FLOORWORK Vol. 1

A New Era for Dance Music Curation: 1001 Recordings Debuts FLOORWORK Vol. 1

The collaborative label venture between Tomorrowland and 1001Tracklists, known as 1001 Recordings, has officially unveiled its inaugural compilation, FLOORWORK Vol. 1. This seven-track collection serves as a sonic snapshot of the current underground landscape, spotlighting a diverse roster of burgeoning artists who are currently shaping the sound of modern nightlife.

From Data-Driven Insights to A&R Excellence

For over ten years, 1001Tracklists has functioned as the industry’s primary database for electronic music discovery. By crowdsourcing setlists and analyzing real-time performance data, the platform has become an indispensable tool for DJs and enthusiasts hunting for elusive IDs. With the launch of 1001 Recordings, the brand is pivoting from merely documenting the scene to actively influencing it. By leveraging their massive repository of listener data, the label identifies tracks that are gaining genuine traction in clubs, effectively bypassing the traditional, often speculative, hype-driven A&R process.

Elevating Emerging Talent on a Global Scale

The core philosophy behind 1001 Recordings is rooted in sustainable artist development. Rather than focusing on established superstars, the label prioritizes producers who have already proven their ability to move a crowd. By providing these rising stars with a global distribution platform, the label acts as a bridge between local club success and international festival recognition. This strategy is already yielding results; the tracks featured on FLOORWORK Vol. 1 have garnered significant early support from industry heavyweights, including Solomun, Anyma, Vintage Culture, and Massano.

The Sound of the Modern Dancefloor

FLOORWORK Vol. 1 is designed to be more than just a collection of songs; it is a functional tool for DJs. Much like a high-performance sports car is engineered for the track rather than the showroom, these records are crafted specifically for the high-fidelity demands of modern sound systems. As the electronic music industry continues to see a surge in demand for immersive, club-focused experiences-with global festival attendance figures consistently hitting record highs-this compilation arrives at a pivotal moment. It captures the raw energy of the underground, offering a curated selection of tracks that have already been road-tested on some of the world’s most prestigious festival stages.
