Year-End LEGO Disney Deals: Snag Retiring Sets at Record Lows
As the calendar year draws to a close, LEGO is clearing out its warehouse inventory, signaling that many beloved kits are officially “retiring soon.” For collectors and gift-givers, this is the prime window to secure these items before they vanish from shelves permanently. Amazon has recently slashed prices across a diverse catalog, spanning everything from intricate LEGO Ideas builds designed for adult display to colorful, durable LEGO Duplo sets perfect for younger builders.
Why Now is the Time to Buy
Whether you are looking for a cozy indoor project to tackle during the winter months or hunting for the perfect present for the Disney fan in your life, these current markdowns offer significant value. Beyond standard sets, we are also tracking price cuts on the 2026 LEGO Advent Calendars, including the highly sought-after Disney Princess edition, which is currently available at a fraction of its original cost.
Spotlight on Moana and Frozen Savings
The standout deal of the season is a massive 55% discount on the Kakamora Barge set. This 572-piece kit, which debuted to celebrate the release of *Moana 2*, is slated to be discontinued, making this price drop particularly noteworthy. The set is a comprehensive build that features a detailed barge, a brick-built Maui figure, and a Moana minifigure.
The *Moana* collection is currently dominating the sale charts, with smaller companion sets like the Kakamora and Heihei builds hitting their lowest price points to date. According to recent retail data, LEGO sets often see a secondary market price surge of 20% to 40% once they are officially retired, making these current Amazon discounts a smart move for both fans and savvy investors.
Beyond the tropical adventures of Motunui, the *Frozen* franchise is also seeing substantial price adjustments, offering fans of Elsa and Anna a chance to complete their collections without breaking the bank.
