Supernatural Transitions to Independent Platform: What Quest Users Need to Know
The popular VR fitness platform, Supernatural, has officially launched its standalone application for Meta Quest headsets. This Early Access release marks a pivotal shift for the service as it prepares to sunset its original iteration on December 3. Operating under the new banner of “Supernatural Health,” the platform is now managed by its original founders and coaching team, effectively severing its direct ties to Meta.
A Fresh Start for Existing Members
If you are a long-time user of the service, simply updating your current app will not suffice. To maintain access to your fitness journey, you must download the new, independent application from the Meta Quest Store.
Once the new app is installed, you will be prompted to register a fresh account. It is important to note that your workout data-such as your calorie burn, streaks, and session history-does not migrate automatically during the initial setup. You must initiate a manual data migration to ensure your progress is preserved.
How to Migrate Your Fitness Data
To bridge the gap between your old account and the new platform, the company has streamlined the process through a dedicated web portal. Follow these steps to ensure your history remains intact:
- Install the New App: Download the Supernatural app on your Quest 2, Quest 3, Quest 3S, or Quest Pro.
- Create Your New Account: Complete the registration process within the headset.
- Visit the Transfer Portal: Navigate to sn.co/transfer using a web browser on your smartphone or desktop computer.
- Sync Your Accounts: Log in using the credentials associated with your new headset account to trigger the transfer of your historical data.
Availability and Scope
This transition is currently limited to users residing in the United States and Canada. By reclaiming independence, the team behind Supernatural aims to iterate faster on their immersive workout environments, which have become a staple for VR fitness enthusiasts. As the December 3 deadline approaches, users are encouraged to complete this migration promptly to avoid any disruption to their exercise routines.
