A Resurgent Team Spirit Finds Their Rhythm at PGL Masters Bucharest
Following a challenging period that saw them endure their longest winless run since late 2023, Team Spirit successfully halted their three-match slide this past Sunday, October 25. The Russian powerhouse delivered a clinical 2-0 performance against TYLOO during the PGL Masters Bucharest 2026, a premier Counter-Strike 2 event hosted in Romania.
Donk Reclaims His Dominance
The victory served as a significant confidence booster for the roster, particularly for their star rifler, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets. After a rare dip in performance during the tournament opener against BETBOOM-where he posted the squad’s lowest individual rating-donk recalibrated his playstyle. His resurgence against TYLOO was instrumental in securing the series, proving that even the most elite players require occasional adjustments to maintain their competitive edge in the high-pressure environment of professional CS2.
Analyzing the Recent Slump
Before this weekend’s success, the team had struggled to find their footing, suffering consecutive defeats that spanned across major tournament circuits. This difficult stretch began during the final phases of ESL Pro League Season 24 and bled into the initial stages of the Bucharest competition. The sequence of losses highlighted a rare vulnerability in the team’s tactical execution, which they have now begun to address:
- October 10: A hard-fought 2-1 defeat at the hands of MOUZ during the ESL Pro League S24 semifinals.
- Subsequent losses to Aurora and BETBOOM further compounded the pressure on the roster, making the win against TYLOO a vital turning point for their momentum heading into the remainder of the PGL Masters.
