If you attended Miami Music Week and noticed great sound, you can thank the team of L-Acoustics armed with new technology. With venues such as Factory Town, Ultra Music Festival and the Kimpton Hotel using the new audio system from L-Acoustics. Their goal with the new technology is to create an immersive audio experience.
During the Winter Music Conference this new technology was at the focus of conversation. L-Acoustics appeared across three days of Winter Music Conference 2026, with its L-Acoustics DJ spatial audio system deployed as the sound rig for the Beatport Live pool party series on the hotel’s rooftop deck overlooking Biscayne Bay. The first spatial audio system built specifically for DJs, the technology uses proprietary machine learning to separate a track’s stems in real time and distribute them across a multi-speaker array, placing individual elements around the venue as the set plays. The result moves the DJ mix from stereo playback into three-dimensional sound design.
DJ’s are excited to use this new technology, during the “Reinventing the Club Experience Through Sound Design” panel that featured multi platinum selling DJ Cedric Gervais, and L-Acoustics CEO Laurent Vaissié. Cedric shared his excitement for what this new technology means for the future of DJing.
DJ and producer Joachim Garraud, one of the system’s earliest adopters, has described the technology as a way to “distinguish ourselves in the club scene through the integration of an immersive experience.” Garraud performed with the system at the WMC pool deck and appeared on both conference panels.
L-Acoustics goal is to expand this new technology into nightclub venues across North America and globally. Music fans and DJs have a lot to look forward to in the future with this new audio technology.
