Megisto first made waves in electronic music in 2024 as the youngest artist signed to Martin Garrix’s STMPD RCRDS. Now, he is joined by industry veteran and EDM trendsetterLaidback Luke on an aggressive, club focused single. ‘Don’t Look Back‘ is out now, on STMPD.

The bass-forward track opens with a simple vocal, stating “don’t you ever look back,” and rapidly builds energy. A sudden, punchy stutter of the same vocal interrupts each drop, then immediately allows the song’s pounding bass and gritty beat to continue. True to its title, ‘Don’t Look Back’ keeps a fast pace; the intense bassline pushes engaged listeners forward, giving little room to, well, look back.

For Megisto, ‘Don’t Look Back’ represents another major step forward in his rapidly developing career. It’s his first major collaboration with an established artist, and is further notable as it brings Laidback Luke to STMPD for the first time.

A couple of years ago in India, this would’ve sounded unrealistic. Now here we are, releasing with Laidback Luke on Martin Garrix’s label. Grateful, and just getting started.

Unsurprisingly, ‘Don’t Look Back’ is receiving wide support from artists including Odd Mob, Martin Garrix, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Alok in live and radio sets. Laidback Luke has a summer full of upcoming club and festival appearances in North America and Europe. Megisto, while not currently on tour, will support Martin Garrix’s Ibiza residency at Ushuaïa. Safe to say, ‘Don’t Look Back’ will likely be a staple in these major performances.
