Dansyn has been building toward this kind of moment for a while now. The Toronto-born producer carries a background that most house artists do not have: punk, metal, live production. You can feel it in the way his music hits differently, grittier in the low end, more dynamic in the arrangement, with those infectious vocal hooks and Latin-inspired percussion that have become his calling card. Pairing that with Dox was a smart move. The chemistry is immediate.

Landing on Lip Service, the label Sidepiece built from scratch, says something about where this record sits in the current landscape. This is not a label that throws darts at the wall. Every release on that roster is intentional, curated for the dance floor with a clear point of view. The fact that Sidepiece was already spinning ‘Work It Out’ during their SiriusXM Miami Music Week set and in Lip Service Radio 006 before the official release date tells you everything you need to know about how much they believe in this one.

That timing is no accident. Summer is when tech house finds its biggest audiences, when festival crowds and pool parties and rooftop sets all converge into one long, sweaty, beautiful season of dancing. Dropping ‘Work It Out’ now puts it in rotation at exactly the right moment. By the time peak festival season arrives this thing will be everywhere.

Toronto-born producer Daniel Balamut built his foundation across punk, metal and live production before carving out a lane in underground house and tech house. Behind a signature sound driven by infectious vocal hooks, Latin-inspired percussion and driving rhythms, he earned Grammy nominations and a Billboard No. 1 single in a previous chapter before fully committing to the dance floor.
