Holidaymakers can fly from London Gatwick to The Gambia with Jet2 this winter.
British tour operator The Gambia Experience, which specialises in package holidays and tours to the West African country, has announced a new partnership with Jet2, which will operate charter flights from Gatwick airport over the winter until April 2027.
The Jet2 flights will include a number of extras such as pre-allocated seating and a complimentary hot meal.
Flights will operate twice weekly between Gatwick and Banjul, with departures on Tuesdays and Saturdays. An additional Monday flight will also run on selected peak dates around Christmas and the New Year period.
Passengers can upgrade to the exclusive Economy Plus service with additional space on board and airport lounge access at Gatwick and Banjul airport, The Gambia’s only international airport.
This flight is not part of Jet2’s regular flight schedule, rather it’s a flight chartered specifically for The Gambia Experience tour operator.
Taking just six hours to fly and with no time difference between The Gambia and the UK during the winter season, the country is a popular, easy-to-reach winter sun destination with beautiful beaches and rich wildlife.
