[Event Review] A Spectacular Halloween at Escape Psycho Circus

North America’s biggest Halloween party, Escape Psycho Circus, returned to Southern California for a tremendous 16th edition this past Halloweekend, bringing top EDM artists and thousands of fans together for a scary-good time.

Friday’s Big Top stage lineup encompassed the contemporary festival direction with a curated selection of house and big room artists. Morten‘s dark, future rave direction set the scene with high energy grooves, essentially transforming the massive tent into a warehouse. His recent release, ‘Gimme Dat‘ rolled through the crowd with an unmatched intensity, further asserting Morten as a main stage presence.

European favorites, Belgian duo Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike took over with an uproarious big room set, veering into higher BPM genres and including some hardstyle. As the first performers of the night to showcase the stage’s full production, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike hyped up the crowd with an incredible array of lasers and strobe lights synced up to bangers like ‘Makina Time.’
