Sam Shure’s signature sound is melodic electronic, laced with classical references and elements of Egyptian sufi music and jazz. On the Berlin-based DJ and producer’s debut for Rekids, he leaves behind the languid atmospheres and intricate percussion of his previous output, aiming instead for pure dancefloor heat. Of the three tracks here, ‘No Time To Play’ is the most forgettable; polished but unaffecting. Much better is the Deer Jade collab ‘String Theory’, which is loaded with dramatic disco strings and sweeps through like a sea breeze on a hot day. The title track is the winner, though — driven by a quirky motif like a Ryanair jet spooling up for takeoff, it’s fun, robust, and will be the summer anthem for anyone who happens to be named Belinda.
