Evidence of an upcoming beta release for the Galaxy S25 Ultra has surfaced on Samsung’s official servers. Firmware identifiers-specifically S938NKSUBZZG8, S938NOKRBZZG8, and S938NKSUBDZG8-point toward an imminent rollout.
It is important to note that these specific builds are tailored for the South Korean market. Historically, Samsung prioritizes its home territory for initial software deployments, meaning users in Korea will likely gain access to the beta first, followed by a staggered international expansion.
The Current Software Landscape
While the S26 series is currently the primary focus for beta testing, the stable version of One UI 9 remains elusive for most of the ecosystem. Samsung has yet to provide a definitive timeline for when the S26 series will transition from beta to a stable public release.
As it stands, the recently launched Galaxy Z Fold8 series and the Galaxy Z Flip8 hold the distinction of being the only devices currently shipping with the stable iteration of One UI 9 out of the box. This strategy mirrors the industry trend of reserving the latest software refinements for the newest foldable hardware before pushing them to legacy flagships.
