European Tech Network Scales Up: Daily Broadcasts and New Funding
Starting June 27, the European Technology Network (ETN) is officially transitioning to a daily broadcast schedule, marking a significant milestone in its mission to become the continent’s premier answer to the TBPN format. By moving to a five-day-a-week cadence, the platform aims to provide consistent, real-time coverage of the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
A Rapid Ascent in Digital Media
Founded last October by Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers, the London-based ETN initially carved out its niche by dissecting industry trends and breaking news through a twice-weekly live stream. The strategy proved highly effective; the show has already amassed over 5 million views across its primary distribution channels on X and YouTube. This rapid growth highlights a clear demand for high-quality, accessible tech journalism tailored specifically to the European market.
Strategic Backing and Financial Growth
The network’s momentum was further solidified this Monday with the announcement of a $1.6 million seed funding round. The investment group features heavy hitters from the media and technology sectors, including Powerhouse Capital and Axel Springer SE-the parent company of major outlets like Politico and Business Insider. Additional support came from LadBible and a cohort of angel investors hailing from industry-leading AI firms such as OpenAI and DeepMind. This influx of capital is the catalyst for the network’s current phase of aggressive scaling.
Expanding Footprint and High-Profile Access
With the new funding secured, ETN is executing a comprehensive growth strategy:
- Relocation: The team is moving into a state-of-the-art studio in Kings Cross, placing them at the epicenter of London’s thriving AI startup ecosystem.
- Team Growth: The current core team of eight is set to expand to support increased production demands.
- Content Diversification: Beyond the daily live show, the network is launching a dedicated newsletter to provide deeper analysis for its audience.
- Exclusive Interviews: The expanded schedule will feature high-caliber guests, including Sequoia partner George Robson and former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who now serves as a senior advisor to Microsoft and Anthropic.
Knight and Chambers noted that ETN has quickly evolved into a mandatory stop for European startups looking to amplify their press tours. The network has already hosted prominent industry figures, including the founder of the AI video generation leader, Synthesia, signaling that ETN is becoming a central hub for the European tech conversation.
