San Francisco Gears Up for PORTOLA Week: A Massive Series of Satellite Events
The highly anticipated PORTOLA Week has officially returned to the Bay Area. Goldenvoice has unveiled a sprawling schedule featuring more than 20 satellite shows, spanning from September 24 through September 27. With additional performances expected to be announced shortly, the city is preparing for a high-energy takeover.
This year’s programming boasts an impressive roster of talent, including sets from Soulwax, Parcels, Overmono (DJ Set), Channel Tres, Fatboy Slim, 2manydjs (DJ Set), Neil Frances (DJ Set), Fcukers (DJ Set), Max Styler, and Silva Bumpa. These performances serve as the perfect prelude to the main event, which features a stacked festival weekend lineup.
Celebrating Five Years of PORTOLA
As the festival marks its milestone 5th anniversary, organizers are pulling out all the stops. Perhaps the most exciting development is the return of the legendary DESPACIO experience. Curated by the creative minds behind Soulwax and LCD Soundsystem, this immersive, high-fidelity sound system installation is a fan favorite.
While the general public will have the opportunity to experience DESPACIO during the main festival, a special “Birthday Extravaganza” is reserved exclusively for those who have held festival passes for all five years. This Friday night event offers a rare, intimate look at the project before it hits the main stage.
How to Secure Your Spot
The demand for these intimate club shows is expected to be high. If you are looking to catch your favorite artists in a smaller, more personal setting, mark your calendars:
* Presale Access: Begins Thursday, August 20, at 12:00 PM PST.
