The winners of the Gamescom Dev Awards 2026 have been announced—and there are some familiar names among the newly victorious.
Wartime horror title Mutter took home the prize for Vocal Excellence, while acclaimed puzzler Blue Prince was honored with the Game Design Excellence Award. Turn-based deck-builder Cards & Cannons was named Most Promising Game on the night, although there’s still no word on when the project from Flamehead Games will debut.
The Ambassador Award, handed out to a person chosen by the Gamescom Dev speaker community, was presented to Tencent Games business development director Amir Satvat in recognition of his efforts to support workers across the industry during a period of ongoing instability.
