Adapted from the acclaimed German graphic novel “Berlinoir,” the series reimagines the German capital as a fractured city-state. The narrative centers on a stark divide: a wealthy elite residing within the safety of a climate-regulated dome, while the remainder of the population battles extreme temperatures, systemic corruption, and rampant lawlessness. Much like the class-based tension seen in films like Elysium or Snowpiercer, City of Blood uses its setting to explore the desperation of those left behind by progress.

The plot thickens when estranged sisters Bea and Phoebe cross paths again, only to stumble upon a terrifying conspiracy. In this version of Berlin, vampires are no longer just creatures of folklore; they are calculated political actors maneuvering to seize control of the city. In a world where resources are scarce, blood has been commodified, becoming the most valuable currency in the underground economy.
As the sisters navigate this treacherous landscape, they are forced to weigh the morality of their choices against the backdrop of a power struggle between human factions and the undead.
