### ShowMaker’s Resurgent Path to the 2026 World Championship
Dplus KIA has officially punched their ticket to the upcoming World Championship, capping off a high-stakes qualification run in the LCK Season Playoffs. The team secured their spot following a gritty 3-1 victory over KT Rolster, a series that saw them battle back from early pressure to dominate the Lower Bracket.
### A Redemption Arc for the Mid Lane Icon
For Heo “ShowMaker” Su, this qualification represents a significant personal milestone. After being sidelined from the global stage last year, the veteran Mid Laner is set to make his grand return to the international spotlight. His last appearance at Worlds saw Dplus KIA exit in the 9-11th place range, ultimately falling to a Weibo Gaming roster that went on to challenge for the title.
Statistically, ShowMaker’s performance throughout this playoff bracket has been pivotal. His ability to stabilize the mid-lane during the team’s recent resurgence highlights why he remains the cornerstone of the Dplus KIA organization. With the current meta favoring high-impact mid-lane playmakers, his experience will be a critical asset as the team prepares to face the world’s best.
### The Final Chapter?
As the 2026 season progresses, speculation regarding the roster’s future has intensified. With ShowMaker’s current contract slated to conclude at the end of this year, many analysts view this Worlds appearance as a potential “swan song” for the legendary player.
Having already guided his squad to their second international tournament of the year, ShowMaker is looking to leave a lasting legacy. For the organization’s most dedicated supporters, this run is more than just a tournament qualification-it is a testament to the resilience of a player who has defined an era of LCK competition.
