To honor this anniversary, developer Realities.io is rolling out a suite of enhancements designed to deepen player engagement, including a fresh weekly puzzle rotation, expanded multiplayer accessibility, and refined mixed reality (MR) integration.
A Fresh Approach to Weekly Challenges
The centerpiece of this update is a new recurring event that grants players complimentary access to a rotating selection of premium, paid add-on content. This system is designed to reward consistency and skill progression:
- Tiered Progression: Every week, players begin with a 25-piece puzzle. Successfully assembling this initial challenge grants access to a 50-piece version for the following week.
- The Long-Term Reward: Maintaining a five-week completion streak unlocks the ultimate test: a 400-piece variant, accompanied by an exclusive bonus puzzle.
- Flexibility for Players: Life happens, and the developers have accounted for that. If you miss a week, you are granted a “mulligan,” allowing you to maintain your streak and continue your progress in the subsequent week.
It is important to note that this specific weekly initiative is currently exclusive to the Meta Quest platform. Due to technical limitations regarding the distribution of free DLC content on Steam, Realities.io is unable to implement this exact feature for PC VR users at this time.
