The Sonic Alchemy of Eris Drew and Octo Octa
The creative synergy between Eris Drew and Octo Octa has evolved from a deep personal connection into a formal musical partnership known as Alchemical Sisters. Operating out of their secluded New Hampshire sanctuary, the duo has transitioned from partners in life to collaborators in sound, crafting a unique artistic identity that defies conventional DJ norms.

Beyond the Booth: A Commitment to Craft
Few artists possess the dedication to transform the physical environment of a performance quite like Eris Drew and Octo Octa. Their approach to live music is rooted in a philosophy of total immersion, which recently manifested in a literal “anointing” of their workspace. Rather than relying on standard festival infrastructure, the pair took the unconventional step of sourcing hundreds of kilograms of concrete to construct their own bespoke DJ booth.
This hands-on ethos was on full display this past September at the Draaimolen festival. Maya Bouldry-Morrison, recognized globally as Octo Octa, was captured scaling the very structure they had meticulously transported and assembled across the Netherlands. This moment served as a testament to their ongoing residency at the festival, where they have been the driving force behind the “Forest Rave” concept since 2022-a project that continues to push the boundaries of how dance music is experienced in natural settings.
