The Rise of ROXIE: Crafting High-Octane Electro House
The French electronic music landscape is witnessing the rapid ascent of ROXIE, a producer and DJ who is carving out a distinct niche with her explosive Electro House aesthetic. What sets ROXIE apart is her commitment to total creative autonomy; as a self-taught artist, she oversees every facet of her work, from intricate sound design and songwriting to the delivery of her own vocal performances.
Her reputation for delivering high-voltage sets has already earned her spots at world-renowned festivals, including the snowy peaks of Tomorrowland Winter and the sun-drenched stages of Les Plages Électroniques. Her newest release, “Turn It Up,” serves as a sonic manifestation of this live-performance intensity. The track acts as a benchmark for her current trajectory, highlighting a sophisticated evolution in her production techniques and a clear, refined artistic vision.
We caught up with ROXIE to pull back the curtain on her studio workflow and discuss the philosophy of instinct and curiosity that drives her career forward.
It is a pleasure to have you with us, ROXIE! How have things been lately?
“I’m doing fantastic, thank you so much for the invite!”
Your latest single, “Turn It Up,” is a masterclass in festival-ready energy. Could you walk us through the genesis of this track and how it transformed from a concept into a finished record?
“The entire project was born from a simple, repetitive melody that opens the song. The moment I struck those chords, I felt an immediate connection-it had a unique character that demanded attention. From that point on, the production process felt almost effortless. I treated that initial loop as the anchor, layering every subsequent synth and percussion element around it. It was a very organic progression, allowing the track to naturally expand into the high-impact, dancefloor-focused anthem I had envisioned from the start.”
