A Narrative of Guilt and Redemption
The story follows the titular character, Samba, who arrives back in his home village with a mysterious windfall of cash. His sudden wealth allows him to win the heart of the lovely Saratou and establish the village’s inaugural bar alongside a close companion. However, beneath the surface of this newfound prosperity lies a dark secret: Samba is a fugitive, sought by authorities for his involvement in a deadly gas station robbery. As he attempts to build a life, the weight of his past and the looming threat of the law create a mounting sense of dread.
