Renowned electric violinist, producer, and DJ Andrea Casta has officially launched his latest audiovisual endeavor, “The Sounds Of Marble.” This ambitious project serves as a cinematic extension of his “Cava Experience,” a live performance held this past June deep within the historic Botticino Marble Quarry in Brescia, Italy.

Widely recognized by fans as “The Space Violinist,” Casta has built a reputation for blending high-tech performance art with classical instrumentation. His signature glowing violin bow-often drawing comparisons to a Jedi’s lightsaber-creates a striking visual contrast against the rugged, monochromatic backdrop of the Italian quarry. This new release highlights the official music video for his latest single, “Fragments,” which recently climbed to the #1 spot on the Beatport Hype MainStage chart.
Bridging History and the Digital Renaissance
For Casta, the choice of location was far more than an aesthetic decision. “Transforming an active marble quarry-a site defined by centuries of labor and geological history-into a stage for modern music was a profound conceptual hurdle,” Casta explains. “It allowed us to turn a place of raw industry into a narrative-driven performance space.”
