As I prepare to step away for parental leave, my media consumption has been a mix of deep-dive journalism, creative tools, and comfort watches. Here is what has been occupying my screen time lately:
- Long-form Profiles: I’ve been diving into the fascinating career retrospectives of Will Ferrell, the relentless pace of sports journalism via Fabrizio Romano, and the insightful political commentary provided by Heather Cox Richardson.
- Digital Discovery: I’ve found myself endlessly scrolling through the aesthetic and thoughtful content on Ordinary Abundance.
- Entertainment & Media: I finally started watching Avatar Aang-the hype was entirely justified. I’ve also been catching up on the latest season of Tires and keeping up with the investigative rabbit holes on PTFO.
- Nostalgia & Tools: I’ve been revisiting the archives of Reply All, prompted by the excellent Hyperfixed episode regarding the show’s conclusion. On the productivity front, I’ve been sharpening my video editing skills in CapCut and testing Spark’s AI-driven inbox management features. While the AI integration is a step forward, it’s still a work in progress for my specific workflow.
Life Updates and Final Thoughts
Beyond the digital world, my real-world “to-do” list has been dominated by the logistics of impending parenthood. I am currently in a race against time to finalize all my medical, dental, and personal appointments before the baby arrives. It’s a frantic but exciting period of preparation.
