However, a bold new collaboration between White Claw and Defected aims to test whether the communal spirit of house music can transform these transient encounters into enduring friendships. Their recent ‘Find Your People’ initiative took ten individuals who had never met and dropped them into the heart of Ibiza for a high-stakes, 24-hour social experiment.

The Mechanics of the Ibiza Connection
The premise was simple yet ambitious: could a shared passion for electronic music act as a catalyst for genuine human connection? To participate, candidates were required to submit video applications via the social platform Cliq, articulating why they were the perfect fit for this unique social study. From the pool of applicants, ten strangers were chosen to embark on a whirlwind trip to the White Isle.
The itinerary was designed to strip away the usual barriers of social anxiety. The group was hosted at an exclusive villa, which served as the backdrop for a private, intimate DJ session featuring Defected stalwarts Sam Divine, Djammin, and Joëlla Jackson. By removing the noise of a massive festival and focusing on a curated, personal environment, the experiment sought to foster deeper conversations and immediate rapport.
From Villa Vibes to Club Culture
The experiment didn’t stop at the villa gates. To see if their newfound camaraderie could withstand the intensity of a real-world club environment, the group was transported to Chinois Ibiza for a Defected takeover. This transition from a controlled, intimate setting to the high-octane atmosphere of a world-class club provided the ultimate test for their budding friendships.
