The world’s most renowned electronic dance music gathering is heading to Asia for the first time. Scheduled for December 11–13, 2026, Tomorrowland Thailand will take over Wisdom Valley in the Bang Lamung district of Chonburi, kicking off an economic windfall estimated to top 5 billion Thai baht.
The inaugural festival marks the beginning of a five-year commitment running through 2031, with organizers already slating an expansion to two full weekends starting in 2027.
Global Demand Sparks a Travel Frenzy
When tickets were released, all 50,000 daily passes vanished within an hour. Fans from over 196 countries secured entry, creating a massive influx of international travelers:
- Demographics: Domestic Thai fans make up roughly a quarter of the crowd, visitors from across Asia represent 30% to 40%, and travelers journeying from Europe, the Americas, and Oceania account for another 30% to 35%.
- Multi-Generational Appeal: The attendee profile defies typical youth festival stereotypes, drawing music lovers ranging from college students to patrons in their seventies.
- Extended Stays: Rather than flying in for a quick weekend, incoming travelers are booking stays averaging seven days, significantly boosting regional hospitality and retail trade.
