AlphaTheta is giving newer DJs a more accessible path from bedroom practice to club-ready performance.
The company has unveiled the XDJ-AN, a new 2-channel all-in-one DJ system designed to help DJs transition from controllers and home setups to professional club environments. Priced at $1,199 USD before tax, the system is expected to be available in mid-July.
The XDJ-AN combines a club-inspired layout with modern music access options, including USB playback, DJ software support, mobile app compatibility, cloud libraries, and streaming services.
Built For The Next Step
For many DJs, moving from a controller to a club-standard setup can feel intimidating. AlphaTheta appears to be addressing that gap directly with the XDJ-AN, which borrows layout inspiration from the CDJ-3000X and DJM series mixers while keeping the unit compact and approachable.
The goal is to give users a workflow that feels familiar enough for home use but close enough to professional setups that stepping into a club booth feels more natural.
Streaming And Cloud Libraries Take Center Stage
One of the biggest features of the XDJ-AN is StreamingDirectPlay, allowing DJs to access tracks directly from supported services. The system supports Apple Music, Beatport Streaming, TIDAL, and will add Spotify support in a future update.
The unit also supports rekordbox CloudDirectPlay, giving DJs access to cloud-based libraries stored through Dropbox or Google Drive. With Cloud Library Sync, users can edit playlists, add Hot Cues, and manage their music directly from the touchscreen, with changes syncing across devices through compatible rekordbox subscription plans.
That means DJs can prepare music on a laptop, update it on the XDJ-AN, and return to the same library later without manually transferring files.
Mobile App Support And Wireless Monitoring
AlphaTheta is also positioning the XDJ-AN as a flexible system for DJs who want to perform with mobile devices. For the first time in an AlphaTheta all-in-one DJ system, the unit works with apps such as rekordbox for iOS and djay for iOS, allowing users to perform directly from a smartphone.
The system also supports DJM-REC for recording and livestreaming sets.
Another notable feature is built-in SonicLink, AlphaTheta’s ultra-low-latency wireless audio technology. When paired with compatible headphones such as the HDJ-F10, DJs can monitor wirelessly with latency as low as 9 milliseconds, eliminating the need for extra transmitters or headphone cables.
Designed For Flexible Setups
The XDJ-AN includes professional XLR outputs, RCA outputs, and Bluetooth input/output, making it suitable for home setups, small parties, content creation, practice sessions, and more serious performance environments.
It also works with rekordbox for Mac/Windows, Serato DJ Lite, and djay Pro, while still supporting traditional USB playback for DJs who prefer offline libraries.
With the XDJ-AN, AlphaTheta is clearly targeting DJs who want more than a beginner controller but may not be ready for a full multi-player and mixer setup. By combining streaming, cloud access, mobile compatibility, and a club-style layout, the unit gives emerging DJs a compact bridge into the professional DJ ecosystem.
The AlphaTheta XDJ-AN is scheduled to arrive in mid-July.
