# Boomtown 2027: BICEP and Noisia Lead the Charge for the ‘WILD STYLE’ Chapter
The UK’s most immersive festival experience, Boomtown, is officially preparing for its 18th anniversary. Returning to the rolling hills of Hampshire’s Matterley Estate from August 11-15, 2027, the event has unveiled its initial headliners, signaling a massive shift in energy for the upcoming season.
## A New Era: The ‘WILD STYLE’ Theme
As the festival enters its 18th year, organizers have confirmed that the 2027 edition will operate under the banner of the ‘WILD STYLE’ chapter. This thematic evolution promises to push the boundaries of the festival’s legendary set design and narrative-driven atmosphere. With the UK festival market seeing a resurgence in demand for high-concept, experiential events-often cited as a key driver for the industry’s projected 5% growth in 2027-Boomtown remains at the forefront of this creative movement.
## BICEP’s Lion’s Den Debut
The most significant highlight of the announcement is the debut of Belfast’s electronic titans, BICEP. The duo is slated to command the festival’s most prestigious platform, the Lion’s Den, for a grand closing performance on Sunday, August 15.
This appearance is particularly timely, as it follows the late January 2027 release of their third studio album, *SLUG*. Fans can expect a masterclass in production, as the duo integrates their latest sonic explorations into a live show that has become a gold standard in the electronic music circuit. Reflecting on the booking, the pair shared their enthusiasm: *”After years of trying to make it work, we are very excited to finally be bringing the live show to Boomtown to close the Lion’s Den in 2027.”*
## The Return of Drum & Bass Royalty
Beyond the BICEP announcement, the festival has confirmed that the legendary drum and bass outfit NOISIA will be making a highly anticipated return. Following their surprise reunion, the group’s presence at Matterley Estate is expected to be a cornerstone of the 2027 lineup, drawing in long-time fans of the genre who have followed the group’s influential trajectory over the last two decades.
## Why Boomtown 2027 is a Must-Attend
Boomtown continues to distinguish itself from standard music festivals by functioning as a temporary, fully realized city. By blending high-fidelity sound systems with theatrical storytelling, it offers an escape that few other UK events can replicate. Whether you are a veteran of the “Boomtown Fair” or a first-time attendee, the 2027 edition is shaping up to be a pivotal moment in the UK rave calendar.
